I’m still basking in the glow of a fun day yesterday in Cortez. Dave had some errands to attend to, or so he said, so I begged off by having him drop me by the nail salon. My nails are possibly ruined forever and the only way I can keep them nice is to have them dipped.

Only Mrs Susan did the method a different way to prevent infection. She used a brush dipped in some kind of liquid and “applied” the dip powder. That way, I don’t get infection from a prior patron who may have had one.

She was also slightly less expensive than the last time I had my nails done. I didn’t have cash and she didn’t take plastic, so Dave was kind enough to return and bring me cash. Turns out the barber was a bust and he declined to get his glasses either. 🙄

So, we took off to pick up a few other things from Walmart before eating lunch at a new-to-us Mexican restaurant. By now you guys must know its the margs and not the food that makes us pick the same old same old every time. The margs were not only stellar, they were pretty!

Amazing what a flower can do!

Once dinner was done, we visited Nu Vue again so I could get the necessary items I need for continued pain relief, and headed home, our cold items safely chilling in the cold bag we always bring for grocery trips. He even stuck the milk, etc. on ice in there!

The ride back to Echo Basin is just as beautiful as any other ride around the area, and I constantly gawk at the beauty of the mountains around us, the green and gorgeous vallies below, and the gaping crevasses in the earth that I wonder if anyone ever explored. I wonder if they can be entered and exited safely. I know, weird thoughts run through my head all the time.
