You Just Never Know

Say Some Prayers

Scripture told me this morning to consider the birds and plants of the world and how they shouldn’t worry, so why should I?

Sometimes things happen that throw us into fight or flight mode.

This morning I was thinking about writing a post to share with you the news that we just found a duplex last night and liked it so much we brought home the contracts. I was sharing the news with a friend, and going about my day and trying to get my exercise and steps in.

As I was resting, I started a movie on YouTube -they have some good ones. Anyway, Dave came home early and he was hot under the collar. He took this job so the lady that was in the role before him could retire. Now she won’t leave. He’s been on the job for three weeks and she won’t just show him what needs to be done and go on. So, he was going back to get some clarity.

He said that if she wants him to sit around and watch her work for a month, he’s not down for it and we will pack it up and go somewhere else. So say some prayers y’all. I already did but I may pray more earnestly.

I feel like God brought us here for a reason. If that is true, all will work out, right? So I’m praying 🙏🙏 I’m praying he knows the right words to say, that he doesn’t let his emotions get the best of him. He’s known for knee-jerk reactions.

So you never really know, do ya. But God does.

Im so confident things will work out that I’m going to share the pics I took off the listing. Remember, these are “staged” photos. It’s a duplex in Orange. That’s a shorter drive to work than it would have been in Nederland. It has a one-car garage and a partially fenced back yard for the dogs.

  3. That looks like a lovely new homestead for the two of you. I hope it truly works out. The colleague of Dave’s is WRONG for what she’s doing. You al practically uprooted your lives so that he could take over and fulfill the role. Prayerfully it’s just fear and unsettled nerves on her end about retiring, but she needs to figure it out ASAP. 🙏🏾🩵

    1. She did, she’s gone. I just hate to think she thinks he was telling her to get out. That’s not what he said. Anyway, hopefully she moves on and can relax into retirement.

  4. You are right. God knows. I’m praying he will direct you clearly what you need to do, knowing it could be waiting or turning in a different direction.

    1. Yes, it is but it could have gone so different. Without all the drama. Oh well.
I think Dave is starting to settle in.i love it when he comes home and tells me about his day. He seems happy. I would hate the budgeting part, but he’s good at it.
