Don’t Ask Me

How I got here, I’m just happy I did.

Something is wrong with my iPad and I can’t get into my blog posts or comments from the dashboard. Something about cookies? That’s what Dave said when he googled how to fix it.

Anyway, I’m just here to tell you that. And that for a while I may only be able to read and comment on all of your blogs. I’m not tech savvy at all, but I will try to figure out what’s going on eventually. The computer overwhelms me when something goes wrong. I’m not a good troubleshooter. If I’m in the mood to research, however, I might be able to learn a thing or two.

Since I have you, I’ll share what I’ve been wanting to blog about…my messes. This week and last, I’ve made some doozies! This here was a batch of choco-chip cookies gone horribly wrong. Note to self: Honey will NOT sub for agave syrup.

Also, I was working with almond flour which some of you may know is not only expensive, but you don’t get much in the bag, so I may have not measured exactly two cups. 😉

Earlier in the week, I dropped a bottle of nail polish on our tile floor, it broke naturally and splashed onto the foot of my brand new dining table. 😩 I worked like the devil to quickly clean it up, marring the table a bit. Thank goodness it’s at the bottom. Dave hasn’t even looked for it. He’s probably put out with me. 😂

A couple or few weeks ago, I was drawing and one of my micron pens was dry so I shook it. Arrrggghhh!! Don’t do that!! Ink went everywhere but I didn’t see it. I saw it later on my leg, then went back where I was sitting and it’s all over the wall and the floor!!! Omg!

So, when I was cleaning the floor of the nail polish, I glanced at the wall and realized I never got that off yet.

I tried baking soda. Then vinegar, then alcohol. It appeared to be taking the paint off the wall! Luckily, it painted a very light gray and doesn’t show. I got most of it and later, could not figure out why my solar plexus was hurting so bad I could barely breathe. David asked what did I do today. 🤣 He said, “That’ll do it!”

I asked how long and he indicated in t might be 3-4 days and he was right.

Not a good example, but you can still see a few ink spots. There’s more near the floor but I’m not up to that task just yet. The floor cleaned up much easier!

So that’s my messy story. I guess it will be my last for a while so I won’t be able to share my Zentangles or photos or anything until I figured out what’s up. I was “in the zone” today after a little break, so I’ll leave you with that.

This is practicing one basic shape. I guess they all have names. I think they call this one flux? Learning as I go, forgive me if I’m wrong.

One more not before I go. My friend back home lost her daddy this week. Say a prayer for peace and comfort for Michelle and her mama. She’s been busy trying to move her hi to a tiny home on her property. Her mama was not married to her dad anymore and her husband is also gone.
