Romans 3:21-32
I couldn’t be in church this day due to pain so I finally found the service online through Facebook. I thought I’d try to watch and at the same time write my post.
The first part of the service is always musical worship. This day it appears we have a guest guitarist hiding in the back. I don’t know everyone well enough to know him, plus I’m watching on my phone because I could get it to load the iPad, so its really small!
The third song they did I don’t know the name but it was a sermon in itself. It spoke of a vision that Isaiah saw of God in His temple, His robe train running the length and the angels surrounded him crying You are Holy Lord. How moving!
Words that change our lives. You’re hired. Test results are negative…or positive and it’s cancer. Life-changing. Your debt has been paid. That’s what Jesus said. We serve an amazing God, who forgives even when we don’t deserve it.
We should be grateful every day. We should live like we are grateful.
So often though, we chase perfection. We try to obey the law perfectly. It can’t be done. None of us are perfect, not even one. Not Abraham, David, Isaiah or Jeremiah, but they were faithful. That is the difference. Jesus was the only one who lived a perfect life and then died on the cross to pay our debt.
We are forgiven. How can you sit miserable in life? How can we not live joyously? We, are forgiven. That is the greatest gift ever. We should be telling everyone about it!
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It’s only by the grace of God that we are justified freely.
Everything else in this world comes at a cost. Yet we believe so many lies. Lies of politicians, lies from our kids, etc yet we have such a hard time believing the truth of the gospel?
All we have to do is believe? Hallelujah!!
Yet many of us don’t think we deserve it. We cannot deserve it because it only comes by grace.
Its our job while we are here on Earth to go and share the news!
But we have such a hard time with that don’t we? Why is it so difficult? Are we afraid of rejection? Nothing we do will make Jesus love us less. Think about that (and so will I) the next time you have an opportunity to share the good news!
On the road to Damascus, Jesus found Saul. He forgave him, one of the worst humans to ever live and He changed his life. If he could do that for him, why can’t we trust that He did it for us?
I’m a servant of God and I’m sharing the message in the best way I can. To honor God. He is my savior. I would not have eyes for eternity if I didn’t know who my savior is but now I do. It calms me and gives me peace.
Fear. This is what keeps us from shouting the good news from the mountain tops. We believe He saved us but we don’t believe He will be with us when we share the news with others.
We need to stop holding on to the news like its a secret. As the beautiful song says, Go Tell it on the Mountain!
Thank you for being here and praying 🙏 with me that we be convicted to share the gospel with every stranger or even neighbor that I know.
