A Visit With Family

Hello everyone, how has your Sunday been! We have enjoyed a nice warm day which was nice since we had a visit from Dave’s cousins who had travelled here from Illinois for a wedding. The wedding was yesterday in Denton, so today they wanted to spend some time with us before going back to Illinois. They really enjoyed the 74 degree weather! Holly wanted to show her daughter Kailey our historic stockyards, so after brunch at Luby’s, that’s where we took them.

First we had to make a pit stop at Cavenders so Jeff could get some new boots.

Once we got to the stockyards, I took Kailey’s picture while inside the old cattle barn.

After we left the stockyards, we went back to the house to visit a while. The dogs treated them like all our guests, licking and trying to hog all the attention 🤣

I wish they would have had more time to hang out but they needed to get back on the road. We had a nice visit and I can’t wait until next spring so we can go visit them! We may meet in the middle which would be Branson, Missouri.

It was only after they left that I remembered I had a yummy Keto dessert in the fridge I could have served them. Darn it, they will just have to come back some day soon!
