Grieving My Youth

Happy Monday everyone, I am so happy to have our air conditioning back on!!

Yesterday, in the middle of family dinner, the air conditioner quit cooling. We slept with high fans and a sheet last night, luckily it was comfortable and this morning Dave replaced a capacitor and all seems to be working fine now.

I guess you could say I’m grieving my youth after attending Brandi’s baby shower. All of those gorgeous young ladies, several with pregnant bellies, looked radiant in their Sunday best, Brandi was beautiful with that pregnant glow mothers-to-be seem to have.

I snapped a few pics, but the light from the huge windows makes everything look rather…erethrial, the venue was gorgeous, but c’mon!! Anyway, enjoy the pictures, Brandi is one of my best friend’s oldest daughter, I was happy to be able to attend her shower.

Brandi Sherrill, Mother to be

The event was bittersweet for Michelle who is grieving the loss of her best friend, I know she was on her mind yesterday, but she never had to say it and I didn’t bring it up. I know she is sad that Kathy missed this important event in their lives, but surely she is looking down from Heaven and smiling and knows Brandi and Josh will be wonderful, caring parents. 🙂

  1. I know what it is like when the air goes down in TX. I can’t believe that I grew up without air. I remember the first school in Corpus Christi that was built with air. It was King High School. I went there.
It does bring back memories when I see all these kids of the kids that grew up around our house having babies. I am not a great grandparent yet though.
