Writing Prompts

#JusJoJan 1-30-23

I don’t want to jinx anything but I’m here to say that I think my canine is over her bout with pancreatitis!

I know I’ve talked ad nauseum about our dogs, you might be sick of hearing about them, but today’s prompt word is canine, so I thought I’d update you on their health. Brandy has two more pills to go and then she needs her labs retested in about a month. We also got her some lower fat kibble and canned food and pretty much stopped the table scraps.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 30th 2023, is “canine.” Use the word “canine” any way you’d like. Enjoy!

You’ve seen plenty of pictures of the girls, so I won’t bore you with more, but we just got back from a walk because Whiskey was barking at us so we thought she needed to go. I wish I spoke canine. When we got back, we noticed her water bowl was empty. She probably just wanted a drink of water! 🤣

It doesn’t take much to tucker them out these days (but they are also 7 1/2, and 8 yrs old) so now that we’re back, they are laid out fast asleep 😴

  1. I just said to myself about Jernee, “God, I wish I knew what you wanted, because she’s around here whining and she’s been fed, walked, given a treat, played with, and given some crushed ice.

She’s almost 15, so there’s NO TELLING what she really wants.

I’m glad Brandy is feeling a bit better, though!

    • Thank you, Tre. I’m so sorry Jernee can’t tell you what she wants. Maybe it’s just to lay on you or next to you? Or is she more of a loner like Brandy? Whiskey has to be touching or very close to one of us at all times, but B is fine on the floor or the couch by herself. I hope she gets some comfort soon. 🙏🙏

      • No, tonight she doesn’t want to be in my lap. She is tipping into the beginnings of dementia, so I just let her walk around in circles and to and from the bedroom to the living room until she finally settles on the couch or in her bed. I keep the lights on while I’m up so she won’t run into anything.

*Sighs* tonight’s just not a good night. I never know what I’m going to get with her anymore. 🙏🏾❤️

I’m just glad your baby girl is doing better, though.
