Friday Makes Three

Ferrying across the ship channel.

I believe the recommended amount of exercise for good heart health is three times a week.

Well, today my morning walk to the park to catch another stunning sunrise made three times this week I have walked up to two miles.

I skipped Wednesday and Thursday because I got up after the sunrise, and by then it is to hot. Even at 6:15 this morning it was upper 80’s with 88% humidity and barely a breeze was blowing. Still, walking before the sunrise is more pleasant than after.

I almost caught some dolphins, but they were too fast for me so I got what I could.

Just the top as he was busy feeding.

The marina was super busy, meaning this must be a great day for fishing. I wish Dave had been with me and brought fishing gear, but he was still snoozing when I left.

This ship appeared to be sitting still, but passed by a few minutes after I shot this.

There were also fishermen on the pier, and the shoreline setting up for the day.

Several boats passed I was videoing the sun coming up. Unfortunately, WP won’t let me post my video.
As I was leaving the park, I turned around and got this shot.

Walking back, I walked close to the marina and took a few more pics.

I took this shot of the walkway that leads all the way to the back of Woody’s and Deep Sea Outfitters.

I’m sure my dream yacht is in there somewhere. ☺️

Sunrise over the marina.

Dave said it looked like I was standing on a boat.

I took another shot of the sun through the palms on my way back, but it was just ok.

I don’t like this one as much as the other day, but the sky added a nice touch.

Not sure what’s planned for today, but our time is drawing near to be gone from this place. I’ve been trying to gather some small things for Rayven before we go. I want her to experience the beach as much as possible, even though she lives in Ohio. I have some sand for her, a book on shells, and a few other things gathered so far.

I’m also planning to make a few more craft projects for my brother and the boys. Between rocks, driftwood, and macramé, surely I’ll have something for everyone. I’d rather make them something useful than buy cheesy souvenirs they don’t care about anyway. I try to make useful items.

I’m so glad that Port Aransas is so safe, yet I still carry a don’t-mess-with-me attitude when walking by myself so early in the morning. Still, the most I’ve ever heard when passing anyone is a hearty “good morning.” 😃

  6. I love all the pictures you take! The ones at the sunrise are my favorite! The next time you go to take a walk in the morning like that think of me. If I could walk that is something I would definitely do, walking in the sunrise! I would come down to Port Aransas and every morning that I was there we would take a walk together!

Rayven is going to love her gifts! When do you think you are going to go see her in Ohio? I know you had talked sometime about wanting to make a trip up there!

Also, I love the picture that you have when you open your blog! Is that from 1 of the pictures that you took the sunrise? Beautiful! I have seen it on a couple of your post.

    1. Yes ma’am! I do love walking early to meet the sun! The beach is cool, but I see so much more on my walks to the park. There and back is almost two miles. It would be about three back and forth to the beach and I wouldn’t be worth a darn the rest of the day if I tried that! Lol
