It’s an understatement to say how tired I am of sitting, so today we traveled to Grapevine to walk around and seek things to do.
We started at Bass Pro Shops, just to walk through and price a few dream items. As we were preparing to leave, Dave found a gift card in his wallet for $100! We each have a new pair of shoes and still had money left on the card.
I got some Crocs flip-flops, and Dave got a comfortable pair of boat shoes. They both will be perfect for Florida when we go this winter.

Crocs last forever and can withstand water, sand…whatever! Just hose them off.
On our way to the place we spied that featured glassblowing, we stopped for lunch at one of our favs-Esparza’s. I love their food, drinks, and ambiance.

We sat in the room with the unique ceiling.
After lunch, we proceeded to the glass blowing gallery, hoping to see them in action. We did! It was so awesome to see the process and I purchased some raw glass pieces to tumble later.

It was very warm in the studio, but that’s to be expected with all those kilns going at the same time. No wonder the artists are so slim!
On the way in and out, we marveled at some of their creations.

You might have to enlarge the photos to see the details, but aren’t those creations amazing? There were so many more! The place was called Vetro and it’s on Main Street in Grapevine, Tx.
Sept 14-18 is Grapefest there, but we may be in Ohio by that time. If not, I’d love to go back and get to take a class and have the opportunity to blow some glass myself!
I’m just shy of 3,000 steps, but at least I got out and didn’t sit all day! 😉
