Today’s post is a stream, for sure, but it’s playing catch up too.
Thursday, we were joined for date night dinner by our long-time friend, Robin, and her charming granddaughter Maili.

We had a great time and little miss Maili kept us entertained as well. I chose to eat flautas, which was a bad yet delicious choice. I always forget they are flour tortillas, I should choose street tacos next time, they are corn. Honestly, I shouldn’t eat any of that, but other than a salad, there aren’t many items that would qualify as low salt or diet food. Btw, Miss Maili chews her food thoroughly before swallowing, I’m told. 😉
On Tuesday, when we were at Bass Pro shops, I spied a tiny folding camp stove that I happened to mention to son, Josh would make a great addition to his and Shari’s motel room kitchen. They only have an air fryer and a microwave, along with a mini-fridge. I offered to buy it and have it shipped here, but they wouldn’t do it. Amazon was higher than the $6.99 price, so I shopped around. I found another at Cabela’s, but they wouldn’t ship either. I think I’ll go by Academy and see if they have one.

Even a hot plate would work, but I haven’t researched that one. Poor kids, it’s their own fault, of course, but I hate their situation. No car, they have to take a Lyft everywhere they go. Plus, they live in a motel…with dogs! They have gone through all their friends and us, and the bank is currently closed, due to our own situation (except absolute emergencies).
Before I divulge even more personal information, I choose to end on a high note. We are heading to another pool party soon, so I’ll wrap this stream up for today.
