This number was achieved after walking with Anne, then around the town of Maggie Valley. Then after visiting Anne later for dinner and walking the dogs, my new step count for this point is 10, 857!
Unfortunately, from months of sitting too much and now being back in the bus, having no comfortable place to sit for long, I feel such pain when I rise. Walking is now the only time my back and hips don’t scream with nerve pain. I was hoping all the walking would make a difference, but not so far.
On to more pleasant topics, we visited Maggie Valley to see the famous motorcycle museum. We also had a wonderful lunch at a Mexican restaurant, and saw the fly fishing shop. I did a bit of shopping at a crafts store-no there’s no craft supplies, it’s all locally made gifts. I got myself a fur-lined sweater cap. I also made a purchase at the CBD store for more sleep gummies.

I took a lot more pics but want to move on to something else that we saw on our walk. It really surprised us both!

There were more pics, but this was the closest I got.
Dinner at Anne’s was delicious as usual and we enjoyed visiting again afterwards, but came home a bit early to feed Whiskey and get me in a more comfortable spot. Well, I thought I’d get some relief, but really the only time I’m not in pain is when I’m asleep.
I’m not getting much time to explore our park and take pics, but here are a couple from recent walk to our own creek.

Dave is on the hunt for light enough tackle to fly fish for trout. We will try again at Walmart as the fly fishing sop didn’t have what he needs.

I had Whiskey, and she couldn’t get enough of this clump of grass apparently.

On our walk this morning, I saw a mailbox I didn’t notice before.

Finally, here’s the front of Anne’s house.

And with that, I’m going to bed. Sweet dreams everyone! Thanks for reading, following, and commenting! More to come!
