It has been such a pleasure to spend time with blogger buddy Anne and her grandson David. We’ve explored the area, eaten meals together (mostly provided by her) and I can’t express how precious our daily walks have been.
We talk and share so much information-some personal-some general, that she already feels like a close friend, even like a surrogate mother, but without the tumultuous part I had with my own.

I have experienced the Smoky mountains National park, I’ve seen elk-up close and personal, and traveled on the Blue Ridge Parkway. David has been in on most of these activities and my Dave too. We have taken tons of pictures and shared so many stories, it’s going to be hard to say goodbye.
Her daughter Lise is coming in from Denmark tomorrow, so I imagine time will be scarce because she needs to visit with her daughter. I’ll take all we can get. I’m so appreciative of the meals she provided, not only were they new and different to us, but we saved money on groceries too, which helps.

We have also gone out to eat at two of their favorite places to eat, Jukebox Junction, and 209 Haywood Cafe.both were good, but my fav was the Jukebox Junction. I had a Cheerwine soda, with a Chili bacon cheeseburger and the best tots I’ve had in a long time- sorry Sonic!!
Dave and I had a couple of great outings ourselves, and our time is not over, but three days is all we have before skinning out on Sunday. I’m so sorry we will miss Thanksgiving with Anne, I’m sure it would have been awesome! I’m already missing it with family, so being here with Anne would have been the next best thing, but we will get through it just like last year.
South Carolina is the next destination, for a week, and I’m hoping our visit will take us to Edisto, another bucket list place for me. I hope I have the pleasure of meeting my favorite author on all mysteries of Edisto Island; C. Hope Clark, but time will tell.
I’m almost posite we will find ourselves back here some day to visit Anne again, but if not, we are blogger buddies, so we won’t ever forget each other or the special time we spent together. Plus, there’s always FaceTime! 😉

Maybe within the next three days I will get to meet Anne’s neighbors, Logan and his parents Bob and Shawn. Crossing my fingers!
Hopefully my body cooperates and we get to walk tomorrow!
