Joining the Challenge

Today, I’ll cover “A” and “B”.

I’ve decided to join this year since I’m home and not traveling at the moment.

However, I’ve also decided to try and keep with the travel theme, since that’s what my blog is primarily about. Our travels as newby full-time RVers!

So, joining a day late means playing catch up.

A is for Arizona, our first big destination taken the end of 2023. We arrived the day before Thanksgiving Day, and discovered that the resort had done their dinner two weeks earlier. That made us do a mad scramble for some quick ingredients that Dave quickly whipped up for a delicious Thanksgiving meal, right from the comfort of our new home!

He used an instapot to cook the chicken and handled the rest in regular pots and pans, like a pro!

Arizona was beautiful, desert landscape and the resort was also magnificent! We had our very own Mountain View that I never got tired of photographing. Picacho Peak RV Resort was gorgeous, welcoming, and friendly!

Soon we made friends all over through game nights, meeting at the dog park, or other activities featured at the resort. I remember we had not set up WiFi yet, and I had to blog from their on-site library, borrowing their WiFi.

I ventured out of the bus our first night there, meeting folks at the “bonfire” and weenie roast. The rest is history, as we explored not only our park, but another near Yuma, the state itself, and even went as far as San Diego…sans the bus.

Now, I must do “B” today as well, so hmmm, what can I talk about there?

First thing that comes to mind is Bocci Ball! In Arizona we played bocci ball, and in Yuma, Arizona I bowled! Two “B” words, how’s that!

So, tomorrow I’ll continue with another subject related to our travels, this time we will be to “C” and see how I do.
