Frustration

Although this has been a fine day in general, I’m super frustrated that I can’t hang the diamond art picture of myself and the boys! 🥵

I framed the picture with duct tape in a shiny blue. I put that stick tack on all 4 corners and had Dave help me press it hard into place. Fail! We came back from Cortez (where we went to find a Walmart) and it had fallen off the wall. Then I added two-sided tape in small sections on all 4 sides. Fail!! Ugh! I cannot use nails or tacks, so right now I’m at a loss.

The other cause for frustration is learning Mahjong on my own by playing a free online version. I guess I’m not understanding the rules for suits, or the card I picked isn’t like the one that was given to me to practice. I can’t seem to sign in to the game online that the other players here use, so I thought I’d practice with a different one. Guess it doesn’t work, or like I said, I still don’t get it. Maybe after a couple more live games.

I may have to invest in real Alien tape, or invest in a real frame and hang it like I hung the other ones.

Proof that it worked for a little bit.

In the meantime, I’m thinking hard on how to craft my first post for the FMCA Adventures blog. Since Florida is most fresh in my mind, I will probably write on why Jupiter was so special for me that we are going back this winter. ☺️

  1. We’ve had good luck with the 3M Command brand. The adhesives hold well and are completely removable if you decide to move the things around.

  2. I’ve had luck hanging my TARDIS diamond painting with Command strips. It’s been up for a few months, without any issues.

Here’s a post showing the TARDIS diamond painting right after I finished framing it with duct tape.

  3. I completely understand I have these transistor radio blueprints with rock ‘n’ roll bands, listed on the parts and I have framed when I moved into my apartment. I hung them up using the non-hole-in-wall method and both fell down and cracked 😢

    1. Oh no! I’m assuming it was Command Hooks?

  4. Most people don’t want hangups. You need them!

  5. i love the pictures! Your dock is gorgeous!.

Command strips are my hang-up go-to. But like you, the framing tape fails. I’ve tried Washi or Duct tapes and they seem to peel off.😥

    1. Yeah, the duck tape isn’t even sticking to the edges of the painting, making it bunch up sort of. I wonder if command strips would adhere to it and then the wall.

      1. I think that was how I did it. I put the strips on the back of the picture then to the wall. I hope it works for you. That is a great picture!
