Rain!

Well, all my griping about the dusty roads will now end for a while!

Glorious rain has been falling off and on for two days now. They say we are in the monsoon season. I may be sick of it before its over 😆😂🤣

Just kidding, I secretly like rainy days but too many of them start getting my hubby down.

So date night was in last night. We ate homemade burritos and had a beverage and watched the movie Walden. Good, but creepy.

Tonight we are trying Nefarious, but I’m not sure about it yet.

I did get invited to play Mahjong today and that was fun, and I got a walk in and did my exercises.

I’m about halfway through the book of Romans and its a good book after all. I wasn’t sure about it in the beginning. I feel so much more hopeful now.

I hope you all have a good weekend and ill leave you with the shots Dave finally got of our quirky looking squirrels!

  1. Those squirrels are definitely quirky looking! Great shots of them, though!

Stay as dry as you can!

One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:18. 🙏🏾💙

  4. Not really here in NRH rain, but down south because of hurricane Alberto they have had horrible flooding. I keep forgetting you as dad the woodlike to watch a couple episodes of the chosen. Saturday or Sundays would be the best you do so for us. We have only seen the 1st 2 of them. He is not understanding so he may give up, although everyone is telling me that it does not start out with Jesus being born in a manger. So I am not going to give up! I am so proud of you for pushing forward in Romans! What I am also proud that you are doing the verse by verse app! Romans is a very good book! All of the books are God breathed so they are all good!

    1. Yes, and I thought ACTS did a great job of answering lots of questions but ROMANS answers even more and gives you peace!
Okay, I’m not sure what you are asking about The Chisen, but no. It starts out basically the book f John and goes from there. He’s basically choosing his disciples and after that is His death and resurrection -but at least they don’t dwell on his killing, like the movie that Mel Gibson did. I’ve never gotten over the brutality of that one.

      1. I have never seen that movie, and never will! Talk about messing with my mind. I do not think any of the books besides the 4 Gospels mentioned his killing. And that was part of the story. That was hard to take for me. When you hear something in one chapter and then hear it again several other chapters it is told because you need to remember it! I used to think it is so crazy that they mentioned the same thing then a red study Bible study teacher told me it was that he gives it to us so we can remember. I’m so glad that you are liking it! You probably have a way better understanding of everything and I do.

      2. Oh, I dontbonow about that’ the different gospels are just different interpretations by the disciples, so I’m sure you hear the same message repeated sometimes. I just love that the verse by verse app explains each one in such detail!

      3. While the Gospels are all about the story of Jesus depicted by 4 different disciples it is an important part. In 2 Timothy 3:16 it is told that “All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for training, rebuking, correcting, and teaching in righteousness.” NIV. That does not mean some of Scripture, but ALL of Scripture! Christina and I have both read through the Gospels 3 times! I see something new every time I read it, because his word is alive and active in me! I hope that this will be the only time you read Acts or Romans. I know it will take some time before you reread anything, and that’s okay! It did not take a short amount of time for us to reread the New Testament. All of it is important!!

      4. Oh, I agree.
I’m not sure which version ill read after the NIV or if ill delve deeper in some of the other studies Verse by Verse offers. There is too much to learn, you’ll never be bored!
