Game Day

Turesdays and Thursdays are game days here, with Mahjong in the morning and whatever someone wants to play in the evening.

Im happy to say I’ve won three or four times now on the computer, and almost won today, but I made a mistake in the suits. I had two different numbers, but of the same suit. That was wrong for the line on the card I had picked. Ugh! So close…I had everything else right!

I bought snacks for tonight’s game night and Chuck said he would bring Bloody Mary’s, so I’m hoping that will get Dave to go with me, lol. He likes the occasional Bloody Mary.

I hope someone wants to play chickenfoot or Mexican train, but they usually like betting games, and we are running low on quarters.

Yesterday, we went to Durango to go to Walmart. We saw beautiful scenery on the way, and after shopping, we stopped for a minute in Santa Rita park to look at the river and the rapids. People were rafting, but I would never! That water is like ice, because that’s what it is! Snow melt!

Anyhoo, I think we’ll stick to Cortez next time we need to go to Walmart, its closer for one thing, and not as much of a hassle traffic-wise.

On top of it all, I got ducked again!! Here are some photos.

I asked Dave to touch the water and he confirmed that it was pretty icy!

  1. We stayed away from the water in Durango, because we had an all-day train ride booked.

    1. Sounds fun!! I don’t know what all Durango has to offer, because we usually stick around closer to the place we are staying. Dave likes trains though.

      1. I haven’t looked to see if the historic engines are still running. I presume they are.
