This is Our Pond

This is our pond

of which we’re fond

We pass daily

seeing turtles sunning

Ducks bathing

something lurking

Beneath it’s depths?

Fountain’s beauty

soothing sounds

hammock worthy

For all to enjoy

Good morning!

We are getting new pumps today, so that should improve water pressure in the park by the end of the week.

The original pumps and water treatment system is old and needs a boost. The new pumps have bigger pipes and can push many more gallons at a higher psi, thus increasing the water pressure that everyone been complaining about.

Our pond is behind the clubhouse, central to the entire park, and has a garden growing near the front of it. Standing next to it talking to Nancy, a fellow RVer, I was listening to the water fall and thought to myself that if I’d have had a hammock, I would have fallen asleep as she spoke.

On our walks with the dogs around the park, its a popular place to stop and let them explore the pond’s banks as we appreciate the beauty.

In fact, just being here in Florida makes me want to be healthy. I walk more, try to watch what I eat, cut down on bad habits, swim as often as I can but not now, the heater isn’t working and the pool is ice cold.

We do like to sit poolside in the sun and catch up with our friends, maybe gossip a little, and dream of the warm days to come.

We are missing friend Rick, who had to go home for a funeral. He will be back this weekend, but for Carrie, I’m sure its a long week.

We are under a boil water advisory while they work on the pumps, but I’m not worried because Dave filled our tanks yesterday and I only drink bottled water anyway. 😉

So these are my crazy Tuesday musings.
