A Warm Tournament

Saturday was the last cornhole tournament of this season. It was smaller but no less exciting and quite warm!

Carrie waits her turn

Rick and Carrie, our friends, help with set up, take down, and the rules. We only had six boards as opposed to the normal eight, because some people have already left for the season or were jut out of town.

It was 87 degrees, making for a very warm day, so David sat our chairs in a somewhat shady spot, yet I still burned in one side.

He and I tried our best against the opponents we each got matched with, yet didn’t win. Rick won first, Grant won second, and NYJ won third.

Yesterday was Sunday, my day to spend more time with God, and myself and I accomplished what I set out to do.i went to church with Amanda, I blogged the Sunday Message, then sat down and made my friend Donna a macrame air plant holder to take home to her daughter.

Lucky for me, she loved it. I didn’t take a picture, but imagine this one on a thicker scale.

Every day I have walking class, which is good because ever since I quit the nicotine, I have been eating my regular meals, but I eat like its my last meal! I’m so ravenous at the time. Then I sit and feel bloated, so I have to walk more. 😆😂

Surely in time I will learn to control this feeling. I told another friend that tonight is the ice cream social so I’ll be sure to dance that off afterwards when he plays music for us tonight!

I’ve also been doing a little online shopping with Amazon. I ordered a second pair of Hike barefoot shoes in white, and a new smaller leather purse, since the one I purchased just a few weeks ago at the thrift store started falling apart already! Pleather. 🫢🙄

A couple of the other gals around here heard me raving about the barefoot shoes and have ordered them for themselves. They also love them! If you have back pain, you should try them. We have Amazon Prime, so I ordered mine there.

  1. Looks like a fun day, but 87 degrees? Wow! That’s a little warm for me, even in July.

    1. It was warm for here too. I don’t want to be back in Texas long. I’m ready to move on to Colorado, then Arizona. What is nice about here is all the time I can spend in the pool or the ocean.

    1. Thank you, Anne! I’m not sure the plant is still alive, but its a good look for decor anyway.
