A Walk Outside

Its beautiful when I do.

Our old pond -not this year’s spot.

The other day I took a walk with Whiskey in my foam slides. My hiking boots are great but hot and heavy.

From here we can see Mesa Verde.

The slides seemed to work on the rocks as long as I took my time and didn’t try to go fast. I do my fast walks inside to my walking videos. The Fabulous 50’s videos.

Some get quite fancy with outside “living rooms”. Look close and you’ll see a house on the hill.

Whiskey would have loved to join the guy under that tent-like structure, but I guided her safely home. Brandy is like me, she doesn’t like walking on the rocks, so she isn’t out long.

Here are the girls while I’m walking indoors. Do they look bored or what? 🤣

Gotta have that space fan right in front of me.

I don’t know what I did yesterday, but I woke up with my back pain rearing its ugly head again, mainly on my left side. I can barely cross my legs. So today has been much resting, but I still did my stretches and worked out two different sessions. One for 7 minutes and one for 30.

Dave tried to work on the Jeep but decided it was too difficult for him, so it will have to go to the shop. He did fix a minor issue with our air conditioning. I felt useless all day, but managed a load of laundry in our all-in-one washer/dryer.

I hope your weekend is pain-free and peaceful! Get outside if you can and observe nature around you. 😉

  2. Hurrah for walking — inside and out! I met a 95-year-old retired nurse recently who told me “motion is lotion” (meaning we gotta keep moving oour bodies as much as we can…) I am sorry to read abouot your pain and hope it subsides/heals soon. And Amen to speinding time in/with nature. I love when it gets warm enouugh (but not TOO hot) to open the windows and hear the birds even when I am inside.

  4. That is what I need to do, check the weather to make sure it is not cool horrible and is Wendy. It has been very humid as you probably know. That would do me good as I had not used my van 3 weeks! Praying for your back, how is it doing today?

    1. It has been bad for a few days, like I did something to aggravate it, but I’m managing.
Thanks for your concern. I’m in the great state of Colorado, where I can get the things that relieve my pain. 😘

    1. My back is the same, its the knees that are screaming now. They took away the one arthritis medication that worked for me and gave me nothing to replace it. I’m stuck with Tylenol and pain creams.
We stay connected to nature with this lifestyle. I just don’t get walking outside much here because of the rocks and hills. But when we drive someplace else, I can get out and observe.

      2. The guy with the outdoor living room I found out are friends who play cards and mahjong with us, but he doesn’t play (like Dave). I love their set up. Its Rick and Kim’s space. Their friends Erin and her husband are best friends who live right across the road, next to that beautiful pond!
