More Photos and Plans

Last night, I made a rookie mistake (even though I’m not sure rookie) and posted on one of my publications on Substack, but it was the wrong one! If you want to see it, go here.

Thats what can happen when you rush yourself, coupled with being tired.

Today, I’m focused on moving my body more, so I told my Mahjong buds that I would come watch them play pickleball this morning and be their cheerleader.

Yesterday was such a blessing, so much fun! The girls could not believe we’ve been here all this time and have not been to all the great places. They encouraged me (us) to get out more, but Dave is such a homebody, I need to encourage him to join me, lest I go by myself!

Here is a gallery of the photos I took yesterday because the scenery was simply breathtaking! Enjoy! I do plan to have a much more enjoyable week, and move more

Honeyville deserves it’s own blog post, but suffice it to say, it has all things made with honey! Mountain wildflowers, berries, cinnamon, whiskey, gifts, games, plushies, and obviously the mill to process all the honey into whipped, or otherwise fabulous products!

I chose a small jar of whipped wildflower honey, even though I tasted the cinnamon and it was soooo good. I also got some honey lip balm, some honey peanut brittle for Dave and a free recipe card for some cookies. Why I grabbed that, I don’t know. I meant to grab the one for cobbler. 😄

If you love honey, this is your place. We also stopped at a nice vegetable stand and I got some squash and an heirloom tomato. Dave cooks them together and makes a tasty side dish. I had already spent money at the honey store and this place was quite expensive. I don’t have a disposable income! Yes, I know I’m cheap, but that’s how we make it as a couple. Dave just buys what he wants and I am careful with money.

Speaking of honey, that reminds me of nectar and hummingbirds, and the other day I was walking Brandy and we passed by Gail’s house. She has such a nice garden and several feeders out and the hummingbirds were going wild! I had pictures but looks like they disappeared, so I will have to fi d them and post them later. Weird!

Brandy was on a roll that day, she usually never walks this direction or so far!

  4. I would love a hummingbird post. The ones we have on our street fight absolutely all the time. I saw a big bunch by a lake in Tennessee, and the birds all got along fine. I would like to know about Colorado hummingbirds.

    1. I’ll try to get closer and take pictures or videos and still them. They are a different color than ours in Texas I think.
