I love reading books but I hate trying to leave a review. The only reason I will sometimes is to show respect for the writer.
My problem is not knowing how to praise the work properly. I have the same problem when I pray. It’s not that I don’t want to, I just lack the words -maybe I didn’t get enough praise growing up or something, I don’t know.
Really though, a review is more like a critique and you’d think I’d be great at that, I seem to be able to criticize people just fine. 😂 Seriously though, maybe I’m just being lazy and my noodle is full of air.
Here lately, I can’t stay awake long enough to read more than a couple of pages which means I’m taking forever to read Stephen King’s Don‘t Flinch, which makes trying to do a review nearly impossible. It’s too hard to remember what I just read when it’s not fresh on my mind.
So maybe don’t ask me to be a beta reader unless you have a long, long time to wait for a review. 🤣
