The forgotten and the New

I left out a photo last night

For those who saw last night’s post, there was supposed to be a picture of our Noelle leading the study in front of her beautifully decorated (and pie-laden) table.

I also left out that there were door prizes and I won one! See that pumpkin spice soap on the table? That’s now mine and it smells divine! Now I want chai tea after inhaling that wonderful and long-lasting scent.

This morning the fall colors and slight chill on the breeze warned of cooler weather to come (but not yet) and the changing of seasons in getting closer. The birds were already active and taunting me from atop their feeders.

Fat liitle bugger!

I couldn’t linger long because Whiskey decides she wants to waddle her blind little self next door and I wasn’t up for chasing her this morning so I shoo’d them back inside. I wish I knew how to add videos here because it’s most hilarious to see her run/waddle with her short little ears flapping as she goes. 😂🤣

The grass is showing fall colors too, so I snapped a shot of the yard.

I swear our yard is like a tiny park, y’all! If I had more time, I’d love to sit and watch nature for about an hour but I don’t get that much time.

Finally, Dave was surprised by his employees with a Boss’s Day gift, a card, and some goodies! He texted the pic to me and said he had no idea that was today. I think he is pleased to learn his staff really like and appreciate him.

I don’t know what’s in the box, some golf-related item. I’ll ask him when he gets home in a little while. It’s his half-day on top of all that!

If he has no plans for us, I’ll be going to teach Mahjong to a couple of newbies at St Paul’s where we play. Not my church but they are so kind to let us have their activities center to play our games. We pay a $5 donation to thank them for the privilege.

Have a terrific weekend!
