Word of the Day Challenge

Our church was dressed up for the occasion

Christmas and the New Year are knocking on our door yet there is so much to be done! From cards, gifts, and food to buy and prep, to decorations, doctor appointments, money management, family commitments…the list goes on and on. Let’s not get too caught up or stressed out and remember this is Advent after all. Remember the reason for the season, prepare your hearts and minds for the celebration of the birth of Jesus, and take a moment to rest, reflect, and share the good news. We attended our church’s production of  Festival of Choirs last night, it was truly beautiful, bringing me to tears, and it brought home the real reason we celebrate Christmas. I was so happy to be able to share the experience with my friend Stephanie and her Dad, I think they enjoyed it as much as we did! There were the hand bell ringers, a symphony orchestra, our chancel choir and the youth choir. They worked very hard to put on not one, but THREE performances…two last night and one more tonight. Maybe I can talk my dad into going to tonight’s, I hate for him to miss out on something so beautiful.
