WOD Challenge 3-8-20 Nest

“And my hand reached to the riches of the peoples like a nest, and as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; And there was not one that flapped its wing or opened its beak or chirped.” Isaiah 10:14

What does this passage mean?

I don’t know the Bible well enough to know the context, so Dave looked it up for me.  It seems to us that it is about oppression, or treating the poor people in a bad way. Does this sound correct? Mitch? Anyone?

To me it sounds like he took everything from his people and they didn’t complain. I’m sure it’s symbolic, a lesson on what not to do? Anyway, it did make me curious and I will study up on it.

(It has nothing to do with Lent, or fasting, or anything they talked about in church this morning-it was just something I found while looking for what to talk about that had to do with nests and I wanted to bring the bible into the discussion. Since it’s Sunday and all. 😉

Happy Sunday everyone!
