Piggybacking off KC’s post, who was piggybacking off of Linda’s post, I guess it’s a safe bet we are all truly feeling the WDIIA vibe today.
It really is Tuesday, yet it’s felt like anything but today. So far I have been a basket case, my mind all over the place. I have a trip planned for Thursday, so I’ve done everything from start my packing, to weeding the back corner garden and did some writing, cooking, and studying scripture in between. It’s like I couldn’t figure out what to do with myself, which days I don’t go to my dad’s are all like that.
My sunflower is now taller than my rose bush, if it doesn’t bloom soon, it will be even with the top of
the fence! I did a small load of laundry that ended up needing a second wash due to a giant water bug getting mixed in the wash 🤮. It took me forever to know what to blog about on the Word of the Day Challenge, but I finally got er done. So it’s been a productive day, if no sense was made of it.
Mondays are usually dedicated to writing, however, with my brain spinning about the trip, I just wasn’t feeling it. I had my Spanish lesson, a lecture on the Bible my brother Kevin shared with me from his classes at seminary. I assembled my zucchini au gratin this morning so I could sauce it and stick it in the oven tonight, and somehow caught pieces of Poltergeist 2 and 3 in between all of my activities. This afternoon I weeded the corner garden, and ran around like a chicken with my head cut off worrying about what I’m bringing on my trip to Port A with Stephanie and Christina. I tried to call the Chamber of Commerce several times about securing a beach wheelchair, to no avail. I’m sure we will figure it out when we get there, they told me before to check with the lifeguards and we should be able to get one. We are all traveling in her ramp van together, so I’ve been worrying about how much room she has for all of our stuff, even though it’s only a three day trip.
Now I’m trying to relax with a glass of vino and watching the new season of Deadliest Catch, an all night affair as they take us from the Bering Sea, to Russia, and previously Hawaii. I love these shows about catching King Crab and Wicked Tuna and the like. Hopefully, tomorrow feels like the day it really is….Wednesday, right?! Hahaha!
