I just didn’t feel much like decorating this year, so I just put a couple of things on the front porch and called it a day.
We won’t be doing much this year anyway, other than going to my Brother-in-law’s for Christmas Eve, eating dinner and playing a few games like the White Elephant exchange. Come to think of it, what more do we need? We will be with the family we have left, sharing a meal and good company. We will each get a gift through playing the game, and we will be contributing to the dinner with turkey, dressing, and my famous oyster crackers.
It’s been a rough year for many folks, not just us, and I think everyone agrees, simple is better this year. This past weekend, we went to my husband’s nephew’s wedding reception and it was nice to get out and mingle with some friends and family. i got some good pics of the bride and groom, and I’m so excited for them as they start a new life and adventure together! Stephen got a job with Blue Origin, and Kacee got a job as a teacher, so they are moving to Washington two days after Christmas! Wish them all the luck!

The wedding was a private affair the previous weekend, and this reception was at a draft house in Arlington.
Hey, did I tell you guys we quit vaping? If there was one good thing to come out of having the virus, I guess that was it. Unfortunately, we are still dealing with some residual symptoms, like sinus congestion and the little cough that doesn’t want to go away. Oh, and the fatigue. But some days I have more energy than others. Now my dog Brandy doesn’t feel well, I don’t know what that’s about, but if she doesn’t start acting more like herself tomorrow, I’m taking her to the vet.
Well, I might get busy and make some treats for neighbors and a few friends, so in case I don’t get back here any more this week, you all have a great and wonderful Christmas!
