WOD & JusJoJan 1-16-22 Ridiculous Restrictions

I want to attend church in person. I want to sing in the choir. I want to join the new pickleball team. But not wearing a mask.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 16th, 2022, is “ridiculous.” Use the word “ridiculous” any way you’d like. Have fun!

There are some places that the ridiculous restriction cannot be fought, like your doctor’s office and, at those times, I just have to suck it up and comply. You simply won’t be seen if you don’t. But with church, I have the choice to view online, so that is what I choose to do until the restriction is lifted.

You have to see now that masks in this instance have not prevented or fixed a thing, any more than the vaccines have. Many people who do both have still gotten sick.

Masks work for instances like cleaning up biohazardous materials and preventing blood from getting in your mouth during a surgery. Not once during this whole pandemic have I believed that making us wear a mask prevented anyone from getting the virus or that it makes any sense, especially in places where people are gathered and sitting close to each other…like the choir at church. It infuriates me that they have to sing with masks on. In my opinion, we comply because we are a bunch of sheep, scared (still) into doing what the government, Dr Fauci, and the CDC swears will work.

Has anyone seen the new comedy Don’t Look Up? It’s a great example and spot on in my humble opinion of just how ridiculous all of this has been to me. Check it out and let me know your thoughts. (on the movie, not on wearing or not wearing masks 😉)

Have a blessed Sunday everyone! Stay warm and say a pray for the island of Tonga.

  2. I think you may have a slight misunderstanding about the nature of vaccines and masks. Vaccines don’t prevent you from getting sick, they prevent the sickness from intensifying to a life threatening situation. Yes, both vaxxed and un-vaxxed people are getting COVID. But the only ones dying from it are the un-vaxxed people. BTW, it’s the same with seasonal flu (and others). You can still get it, but if you’re vaxxed it won’t lead to such severe consequences as otherwise might happen.

And regarding masks, they are worn so that the wearer does not pass on any viruses from their exhaled breaths. It’s to protect others, not them. This is a public health measure meant to try to mitigate the spread of a disease that’s now taken the lives of over 700-thousand in America, and millions worldwide. These mandates are tiresome and an inconvenience, but I’m glad to see that you are still following them even if you don’t agree with them. Please continue to keep yourself and others around you safe – you’re worth it!

    • Thanks for reading and responding. Still not sure that only the unvaxxed people are dying from COVID but we will just have to Believe what we each believe.
Had the vaccines gone through the proper testing and been approved instead of rushed through with God only knows what in them, I might agree with you on that. I’m not taking one just like I don’t take the flu shot anymore. I let my natural antibodies do their job. ☺️
I know what masks are for, I was in the medical field for 22 years. But thanks again for checking out my blog, I appreciate it!
