My doctor visit today with my favorite nephrologist-Dr Epstein-was almost perfect!
Despite my added weight and crappy diet lately, my labs were “perfect” he said! He said it twice! That’s almost as good as the gold star I used to get from him.
Now the bad news; my blood pressure is not good. We will go back to 10mg lisinopril x 2 daily and report back in a month. If it isn’t better, he will add a diuretic 3x weekly. Yikes! I don’t want that! What’s funny is I never salt my food, however, when I think of the things I’ve been eating lately, the foods I choose are kind of salty. I will look for a low salt diet and see what I can change.
In other news, yesterday I visited my friends- Stephanie and Christina- and Stephanie’s dad and brother and Christina’s hubby. It was a good visit, and Christina is recovering nicely from her recent knee surgery. Stephanie has multiple issues, yet her spirits are always high. What an inspiration! I forgot a picture, but I’m goin back tomorrow to meet Iris. I’ll try to remember then. ☺️
I mentioned my recent addiction to TEMU right? Well, I made a little money from a paid survey site and used the reward to feed my addiction! I’m in need of a few new clothing items to replace the ones with holes (like moths) or just old and worn out. They have so many unique things, and they are all super cheap or very reasonable. I’ve bought stuff for the motor home, the granddaughter, and as gifts.
Still waiting on insurance to call and Dave’s Dr too. I’ll keep ya posted!
Dave recently shaved and looks like my man again! Love it!
