The Sunday Message

Accountability Begins at Home. Zephaniah 3:1-8

Welcome to my interpretation of the message from BCBC- Bear Creek Bible Church

Did you know that there are approximately 3.4 billion people in the world who don’t know about Jesus?

We’ve got to change that! Why?

Because: Zephaniah (3:6-8) says; Eventually the whole world will be held to account, so what we must do is Evangelize.

There are many ways of doing this, even if you feel awkward about talking to people about spiritual things.

I’ll explain that in a minute, but first, listen to what the magician Penn (of Penn & Teller said) a militant atheist, said to a man that once gave him a Gideon’s Bible. I’m paraphrasing here, but he said something to the effect of- If you love Him and believe in Him, how could you not tell everyone about Him! This coming from an atheist!

So here is an idea of how to do that. It’s called the FORMULA.

ULA-Use love always

Share your message in and through any of these ways, but share in not with blame or condemnation, but with love.

SIX STYLES OF EVANGELISM

Proclamation- (Acts:2) Peter

Intellectual- (Acts:1-7) Paul

Testimonial-(John:1-3, 25, 35-39) Blind Man

Interpersonal- (Luke:5-27-29) Matthew

Invitational- (John:4-29-30) Samaritan Woman

Service- (Acts:4-36) Dorcas

Each of the above passages were told to others by the people following each passage, may they be true disciples, or ordinary people like you and me.

This post and the ones before and after since I started the Sunday Message are my way of doing exactly this. So what would you say my style is? Am I performing a Service? I hope I am. And in the above Formula, am I delivering a message? Definitely!

The message is:

“For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift from God.” (Ephesians: 2-8)

I hope you have enjoyed the message and that you take it to heart. We must do our best to evangelize however our hearts lead us to, or Humanity will be lost.

I believe that Jesus died for us.

I believe that Jesus is the Messiah.

I want to tell the world about Jesus so that they too may know Him.

Go tell someone today!

  1. You are right on topic! Do you and Dave hold each other accountable? Dad and I do not but at least we go to church together! So he hears! I know that he is a believer for sure and that is what is most important?

  3. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations …,” (Matthew 28.18-19 NlT). I envision Jesus, as He spoke these words, with His arms outstretched, gesturing to the nations that were clearly in view from that mountaintop. “Go there and tell them about me. … I’m sending you!”
