Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “express.” Use it as a noun, verb, adverb, or adjective. Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
If you were running errands with us today, you wouldn’t want to use the express lanes! They are for when you want to get there fast, and they are usually expensive.
We were shopping local and had to visit two places twice, so we didn’t need them anyway.
Kevin’s birthday is tomorrow, so we were trying to get groceries for the dinner, a birthday card, and some cheap clothes to replace some I’ve worn to bits by wearing them over and over for the last year and a half!
Three of the shirts were too small so far…told ya I’ve gained weight! At the VA yesterday the scale showed I’m over by about 20lbs, but all that wasn’t gained in Florida, yet I’ll bet 10 of it was!!
I can’t express how disheartening that is. As one gets older, it gets harder to lose weight and with my back hurting, exercise is also slow to get done. I try to walk a least 3,000 steps or more a day, and soon I’ll be doing pt also. I just don’t want to diet anymore.
So, do you use the express lanes, or do you even need to in your town/city? We have a toll tag, but use it less and less these days.
