My Peanut Head

My husband is always joshing me about my “tiny peanut head” and how hard it is for me to find a hat that fits properly. I was just complaining that when I wear my hat along with my sunglasses it makes the top of my ears sore.

He said, “You and your tiny peanut head.” Ugh!

It’s true though, I have one ball cap that fits just right, so now it is faded and sweatstained. I wear others but they don’t fit correctly, so that may me why I get sore, from readjusting them all the time.

One time, when I belonged to the Red Hat Society, we searched high and low for a proper red hat for me to wear to functions. I finally found one but it was a heavy felt hat and I want to say it was $50! Sadly, I’m not in the club anymore and I never use it for anything else.

Now I want a sun hat since we are in Florida and you guessed it, I can’t find one. Maybe I will go shopping in the kid’s section at JC Penneys or somewhere. Certainly not online! I have to try them on. My Aunt Connie always wore a navy hat pulled down to cover her hair. She always hated her curls.

If I wore a bucket-looking hat, I would get laughed out of the park! Somebody give me some ideas for how to cover my peanut head!

I even tried a doo-rag or skull cap…whatever the bikers wear and Dave said that was definitely not the look for me. 😒

Maybe Mrs Potato head has a hat she can loan me. 😂

  3. Aww. I hope you’ll find the perfect hat, soon. I have several hats/kufis/beanies that I wear over my locs and I love them. Of course, I purchased them all online.

    Good luck!

  4. It was good to read your post about hats. Here very few people wear hats. Hope you get a good one soon.

  5. I have the opposite problem. I like hats, but unless they’re adjustable, most are too small for my fat (mostly hairless) head.

      1. They are. I walk with a tight knit Pirates hat, even though baseball is still a long way off.

How about being a southern belle and getting a huge sun hat. Those are so nice.
