SoCS – Walking to Live

Afternoon, my peeps and right off the bat, let me say thank you to each and every one of you who left a comment about my new design. I appreciate ya!

Secondly, I’m so sorry that Linda and her family are suffering from COVID again! Get well soon lady!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “walk.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

Some of you may have seen my past posts about how walking 👣 is the only way I will keep moving. I have posted proof on Facebook, as I walk to purposeful videos called Fabulous 50’s.

As I’m walking to Shellae’s videos, I snap a photo and immediately post it on Facebook with a note about how we need to move to live. With all of my health issues, nerve problems, and joint problems, I have to keep walking…even though I don5 feel like it-if I want to live.

I know it sounds like I’m being melodramatic, but I promise you I’m not. In fact, as soon as I’m done writing this post, to will walk 👣 into my brother’s bedroom, fire up a video from her extensive library on YouTube, and get to it!

Wait, let me back up a sec. I will first stretch and then I will walk. Each session is twenty to thirty minutes long, but with the music and shellae’s vibrant, positive, personality, the time just flies by!

I hope you all know the importance of movement, eating healthy, and regular doctor visits. I do, and if I can’t get an appointment, I may go camp out in their office one day next week. We gotta get out of here, and I need to get my issues resolved before we go!! I’m walkin* away now!

  1. I’m late to the party, but I like the new look. I try to walk every day, weather permitting.

    1. You are such an inspiration, Dan. No way am I an all-weather walker, which is why I like the indoor walking programs so much:

      1. I don’t walk when the temperature is below 20 (f), which kept me indoors for almost three weeks in this past winter. If that happens again, I may have to look indoors. Short of joining a gym, I don’t know where I could find that.

      2. Well, you could do what I do. Turn on the tv and find Fabulous 50’s on YouTube! Pick a 30-minute walk and set your pedometer and go! They are easy to follow and fun to do. Shellae is so positive and uplifting, her little doggy keeps me laughing, and she isn’t hard on the eyes 👀 either. 😉

      1. I’m trying, Raj!
The first 15 minutes I hurt so bad I want to stop, but the next 15 minutes I warm up and start to feel better.
Yet, if I sit longer than 30 minutes, I hurt more.so I get up and down a lot.
