Guess what? We did make it out Tuesday morning.
Some of you may have seen the pics on Facebook, but if not, I have a few of yesterday’s pass through Amarillo and one from today going into Albuquerque.

The trip home has been fraught with so many problems I’m starting to forget some of them as just another thing that happened.
A bright spot was getting to sup with my brother because he happened to be working in Amarillo. We picked The Black Bear Cafe because it is a very good restaurant ith lots of food choices. Dave and I had old fashioned juicy cheeseburgers and Kevin had the roast beef plate. We all left stuffed and satisfied.
Before we got to our park yesterday in Amarillo, Dave thought he heard a ‘new’ noise. Sure enough, this morning he discovered wed lost the bushings on the swinger bars or whatever.
He had to unhook the jeep, (he usually doesn’t on short trips which means I never see anything in the cities we drive through) to go look for more so he could replace them. He found a reasonable facsimile close by and proceeded to put them on.
I normally can’t help because there is no room to, but this time I was able to hand him tools. I choose to believe that helped a little and he got done pretty quickly. We were delayed about an hour.
Which means we got to Albuquerque early because we went back in time an hour, and still we didn’t go explore. I get mad about it, but don’t say anything. He has worked so hard getting these repairs done. He has spent toms of $$$.
I wasn’t bored since there was reading to catch up on, blogs and news I hadn’t had time to read, my stretches, making sure I still know how to play Mahjong, watching the next two available episodes of “The Chosen” season 5.
Tomorrow we will be in Echo Basin and the trip there will be nice because its so gorgeous.
Thank you for all of your well wishes, and your prayers. I’ve been doing quite a bit of praying myself the last several days. I have faith we will get there with no more issues.
