SoCS- Hope is Possible

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with ‘ho.’” Find a word that begins with the letters “ho” and use it any way you’d like. Have fun

All are welcome here, as most of you are aware. Believers and non-believers- and what I say to the latter is this, you may think all hope is lost and the future looks bleak, but I say hope is always possible with God. Again, let me point you to the book my acquaintancence Mike Edwards wrote- Gravity, True for You but Not for Me. During this week of Global Prayer, I’m trying to share it with everyone I know so that they can then share it with someone they know who needs it.

I swear, it’s easy to lose hope when facing what I am with the VA, but I pray daily for an answer. I have been working to find an advocate but it’s the same runaround as everything else. They call and say they are passing the message to another and so on. Ugh. Its been what, two weeks since I went to the hospital, still no follow-upfrom my primary. Messaging through the patient portal does no good, so Monday I plan to call and see what that produces!

Still, I’m hopeful and I pray daily for strength and the ability to keep upright. Tylenol, my pregabalin, and the other “supplements” I do are working so far. My daily walks and stretching exercises are vital to my continued movement.

Yesterday, we went into Cortez to take the dogs to the groomer, go visit wally world, and in between we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Fiesta Mexicana and stopped off at a couple of lakes in the area where Dave threw a rod and I got some steps. And, pictures, of course!

Cortez is a beautiful little city with lots of lovely parks, stores, and restaurants. We usually find whatever we need that we can’t get in Dolores there.

I had an appointment with my hairdresser, Angie, but she slipped, fell and hurt her shoulder so we rescheduled for the 17th. Hopefully, she will be healed up enough by then. 🤗🙏

  3. I cannot imagine life without hope. But there are conditions in life like people facing total destruction due to Nature’s fury and human stupidity when life seems hopeless. But life goes on. And our troubles seem very small compared to theirs. Thank you.

  4. Hang in there. I hope you hear from them soon and get a follow-up! In the meantime, I hope you can continue the pain management with success. Take care.
