What is the last thing you learned?
The last thing I learned was how to draw a zentangle, a zendoodle, and the difference between them.
The other day, I colored in the one zendoodle I’ve done, but I can’t get into the groove again like the very first zentangle I did. I need to continue following other’s examples I guess until I get the hang of it.

Don’t forget the music! To get in a truly zen state and let your creativity flow, you need some kind of binary beats, study music, or whatever floats your particular boat. If I’m focused on a project, say diamond painting or making jewelry, music helps me stay in that creative zone.

I’m still learning, and what I have to get past is worrying about what it will look like, which kills your creative flow. I don’t think this is something I can do when Dave’s home. Unless of course, I’m wearing ear buds and listening to my study music. What is it about doing that that makes him want to talk to me when otherwise he seems lost in his own activities? 🤣
I’m going to cheat a bit and combine two prompts.
The SoCS prompt today is this:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “distance.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
Dave went with me to the park for the first time today and even though I couldn’t go the distance, my Apple Watch said I’d walked a mile! Yea me!
The problem is my new tennis shoes. We paid $70 for what I thought was another pair of Sketchers Step-Ins and they look just like my others except that they tie. That should have been a clue! 🙄😂
I changed when we got home from going to Home Depot and I feel better. The other shoes just don’t “walk” the same. They feel flat compared to my first pair which almost propel you forward. Obviously, that feels better to me and doesn’t make my hips tighten up.
I’m anxious now to find a doctor who might help me, and first thing Monday, I’ll start calling around. Dave is paying a pretty penny for premium insurance, say a prayer its worth it in the end.

Even with my challenges, I’ve been averaging 6500 steps a day and 5 miles a week at least. ☺️
