Read: Romans 5:12-20

The church is really looking fabulous for VBS which starts on the 22. Today we were treated to a dark sanctuary lit up with all kinds of wonderful, colorful lights. The Illumination Station I suppose. I was not involved in the decorating due to my limitations right now.
Pastor Kevin was wearing a VBS t-shirt as we’re many that I guess are on the team. He started today’s message but thanking all those involved in getting things ready.
In the verses for today, Romans states that we are all born into sin because of Adam and Eve but because we know Jesus and believe He died on the cross for us, we are promised eternal life.
Pastor Kevin asked us who can raise their hand that taught your children to lie? No one, of course. Kids come by it eventually because of our sin nature.
We are all condemned to die because of sin but due to God’s grace, we have eternal hope. All we have to do is believe. No amount of work will gain us eternal life.
Anything we do as good deeds should only be done to glorify God. So keep doing them, just don’t think you’re doing them for your salvation.
20 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,
21 so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Praise the Lord! Praise Him by making a joyous noise!
I sing praise music all the time now. It might be different than yours, yet still praises Jesus.
Thank you for being here and just a bit of good and bad news.
The bad: Church friend Renda has lost one of her precious Australian Shepherds. Please 🙏 for her safe return. It’s been three days she’s been missing.
The good: My starter floated for the first time ever! So I should be making the best-ever loaf of sourdough today and tomorrow. Dave and I mixed up the dough just a while ago and it’s resting. Then I will do two hours of stretch and folds and stick it in the fridge overnight to ready it for baking tomorrow.☺️
