Romans 6: 1-14

Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ

When we are born again in Christ, we are supposed to be a new person who leaves sin behind, yet often we are only partially changed. We keep on picking up that one sin we can’t seem to let go of and carrying it with us.

Why do we do that? Often, the reason is pride.

We think we are hiding that one thing from God and we keep walking around with it because we can’t seem to surrender our lives completely to God.

Once a person is new in Christ, it means that everything we do should be to the glory of God. If you go fishing, do it to glorify God. If you’re a golfer, go play to glorify God.

Try to live life loving others as God loves us. Let go of hate, disgust, and vile thoughts. Remember that we aren’t under the law anymore but saved by grace! Sin shall no longer be your master.

On a personal note, it felt good to be back in church today. It was not because I’m feeling better but I was able because I had a driver. Dave, of course. I do feel a little better though-probably due to staying in front of the pain with Tylenol and a muscle relaxers. My church let me know we’d been missed. They are all so kind and welcoming. It’s nice to know they have been praying for me. ☺️🙏
