Shadows lenthen as the days grow longer
Hearts beat fast as the buds bloom anew
Anticipating summer; adventures await
Leaving the old me behind.
Oh yea, it’s my birthday, I’m glad it’s near the Spring when all things are new again. I feel like shedding my skin and emerging new as a butterfly, leaving the wrinkled old cocoon behind.
