This morning I woke up excited to have a rainy, cold day to myself to work on a myriad of projects. Here’s hoping I get as much done as I want to!

When I first wake up, I try to tell myself, “There’s no hurry, just go back to sleep for a little bit, and then get up and get going.” My hubby’s alarm goes off at 5am mind you. So, that is what I think, but what happens is more like this: I roll over and close my eyes and then my mind goes to work. You need to blah, blah, blah….whatever the list is for the day.

Reluctantly then, I grab my extra pillow, prop myself up in bed, in the dark, and proceed to check my emails, and do my Spanish lesson. I figure if I get my Spanish out of the way early, I have all morning to get my Inktober drawing finished from the night before when I started it. Sometimes though, I go down the rabbit hole reading this new source of news I found-An online news mag I guess you’d call it. It’s called 1440 Daily Digest and I’m completely fascinated by all the cool stories, food trends, and the etcetera section. You guys should check it out!

It is a bit of a time suck, admittedly, but better than wasting my time on Facebook. At least I’m learning something. Once Spanish is done (I’m on day 218 in a row btw) I go finish my drawing and/or blog, and then usually I’m free to start doing my transcription practice and all this happens before 9am. I’ve trained myself to do it this way so I get something accomplished before I go to Dad’s or anything else that may come up that day that takes me out of the house. Other than having lunch with Dad, and my Friday volunteer gig, it is true that I don’t get out much lately. However, I’m doing my best to plow through this course so I can start working in the field and making some dinero!!

Sometimes, I do a bit of typing practice a while to get my hands warmed up and work on my speed.

Today, however, I’m going to do all that and more! I planned on looking into an online task I had signed up for, but after checking it out, I decided that wasn’t my cup of tea and was probably a waste of my time. I don’t want any interruptions today either, so I’ve closed the office door to the pets….let’s hope it works. lol. They usually start scratching and begging to be let in after a little while. I had also planned to stay in my pjs, but I was feeling too chilly and went and got dressed. Much warmer now!

I’m off to get busy, do a lesson, maybe write on Medium or an article for a paying magazine, who knows where the day will take me. I may even attempt a much needed cleaning project, cook something, or –god forbid– watch an episode of something I’ve missed. (NAh, prolly not) And get this….I have no Diamond art project to do!! None! I’m all finished with the last thing I was working on ( a Christmas gift for my granddaughter’s mom) Which reminds me, I need to buy another one!

So, I guess you can say I’m going to be chilling at my desk today in more ways than one! And here I wasn’t going to do the Word of the Day challenge today. 😉
