Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “rest.” Use it any way you like. Enjoy!

If you were at my house right now, you’d see three lazy animals sleeping on the couch, one daddy watching golf and playing games, and one mommy watching movies and attempting to work on Linda’s prompt for today as she stays out of the cool, damp weather. We all must conserve energy before we celebrate the three birthdays of the month tomorrow; David’s (24th), Sean’s (27th), and Shari’s (also 27th).
Honestly, we aren’t planning on doing anything but dinner and hanging out, maybe giving a gift or two. And, I’m not being entirely honest, we did get out and run our usual Saturday errands before the rain moved in. Luckily, we were spared the ice this time around. But it does feel cool and raw outside. I need to run one more errand, I’m just not sure it can’t wait until tomorrow.
I’ve actually been resting too much lately, I’ve been in kind of a funk. But Dave and I at least went to dinner last night and played some pool so we wouldn’t sit on the couch all night. While playing, we had to keep rubbing the lint and cat hair off the pool balls, so one of our errands today was some foam cleaner and ball cleaner from Ft Worth Billiards. That is where we purchased the pool table when we moved back to Ft Worth seven years ago. The felt looks good as new now! The balls were so stained and filled with static, but they came clean as well!
Celebrations aren’t as festive as they used to be with so many of our family gone now, but we try to press on for the ones who are still here. We make it a point to get the family together every Sunday for dinner so we can stay close. Tomorrow will only be different because of the birthdays. Sean will be 40!! Can you believe it? That’s what happens when you have em young. Because see, I am not old. LOL
We will be having roast, veggies, and salad, and for dessert, the carrot cake cupcakes I made for Dave. He agreed to share, he can’t eat 12 cupcakes, lol. Dave and I celebrated his birthday Thursday night with dinner and a margarita, which I bought since he wouldn’t let me buy him anything, and we eat Mexican food so much, I got him a sweet card that said he was my hot tamale. 😉

Beautiful enjoyed Birthday party dinner. So nice shared you it’s. I like. Who’s are in picture?👌
