Monday Morning Thoughts

First thing I want to do is answer the daily prompt Facebook asks: If humans had tag lines, what would yours be?

If humans had tag lines, mine would be- “Oh yeah they call me the breeze…”

I got the nickname “The Breeze” when I was in the Army. The guys said because of my short stature and the fact I moved so fast, they’d feel nothing but the breeze when I walked by them…usually sight unseen! I guess I was stealthy too! 😂🤣

PS: The quote is actually a line from an old Lynyrd Skynyrd song- The Breeze!

Sean, my oldest, was down to visit for a few days with a pack of his friends, and came by the place to visit yesterday before heading back to get serious about his future. He needed this break he said to recharge his battery. He’s without a steady job for the first time in 7 months. He needs a new home, by himself this time. So he has a lot of work and a long road ahead of him, but I have faith it will all work out. He is 41. Should have staid in school, but he is very resourceful. He’s smart. He’ll work something out. He shared some of his thoughts with us about future plans. Sounds like he is on the right track.

We will be going to Aransas Pass today to get one of my prescriptions and whatever else we need at Walmart where the prices are somewhat lower than on the island. I found a canned adult beverage so good I could literally guzzle it! Gotta get more of those too because my friends will be here Thursday and I’ll need a beverage in a can for the beach. This one is from Deep Eddy …a vodka version of a Paloma. I love grapefruit, so this is right up my alley. Don’t worry though, I don’t overdo it. My limit-especially in the sun-is one or two. I hate all the seltzer drinks they’ve come out with, so I have to read all the boxes carefully before purchasing. If they are made with sparkling water, they’re a no go. I still can’t find tequila Paloma’s in a can like I discovered in Arizona around here, but this is a nice substitute.

I sure hope Michelle is up for a trip to St Jo while she’s here, or this will be one of those trips I don’t get to go. Dave won’t go with me, cause he doesn’t get the hunting-for-treasures on the beach thing like I do. My sister in law Connie and I always went when she lived in Texas. Man, I miss her.
