I always like an opportunity to gather with friends.
Judy Charles kindly organized a mini-reunion for Class if 79’ at a place called the Chicken & Pickle technically in Grapevine, Tx.
We only had about 11 or so show up and some of us brought our spouses. We did take the time to snap a group photo, and for once, I’m not mad about how I looked! Maybe I’ll stay blonde forever. 😂☺️

The plan was for us all to get together and play games, eat, and visit. We ate and visited, because the noise level in that place was high on the decibel scale.
The eatery itself is known for parties, meals, and pickleball. It has great food, a full bar, sports on several different screens, and a bunch of pickleball courts. I couldn’t believe how many people we’re playing yesterday in the ridiculously hot sun.
I got to visit with old friends, and two that came in from out of town I hadn’t seen since school! That was special. We should have had more time, but they both had to run off due to other commitments. Judy suggested we do it more often, possibly in someone’s home. There were no “quiet” spaces in that place. Games are better played in a home setting anyway, don’t you think?
Dave accompanied me, but didn’t get into the picture. In my humble opinion, he was looking handsome in a silky casual button down shirt…what I call his vacation shirt because it is a subtle version of the Hawaiian shirts so many guys wear on vacation. I wish I’d have snapped a selfie of us together. Oh well, you’ve seen plenty of those. 😁
