I Never Realized

I don’t consider myself an anxious sort of person, but I am feeling a bit anxious about my upcoming procedure in five days.

They say it’s like an epidural, but I’m not sure I ever had one of those, so I’m a bit nervous but also anxious to be out of pain.

Another thing happened yesterday that created a bit of anxiety. Amazon sent the thumb ring I ordered, but must have put it in the same pkg as my sweetener which is an auto ship order. They never put two orders in the same pkg, so I didn’t think to look for anything else and tossed the envelope in the trash. I guess I threw it away! I didn’t discover the issue until yesterday when I wondered where my ring was. I went to the office three different times, looking for the mail before I figured it out.

Amazon delivered it Monday-inside the office-not on the pkg table. I didn’t expect anything to be in the pkg of sweetener, so I didn’t see what happened until I tracked the package and then I saw they had put both in one. I fretted about calling for a replacement or not, but figured they would say it was my fault. Oh well, I guess I’ll order another one…it was only $10.

Still, I never realized I got so anxious over such small issues. This anxiety-ridden post was brought to you by this prompt. Have a worry-free rest of your day!

  1. I’ve done something similar before and even though it’s only $10, I still felt anxious about it.

  2. Without being too stupid…What is a thumb ring?

    1. It’s just a ring you wear on your thumb. I lost my last one and was looking for a replacement. ☺️

  3. I understand exactly what you are doing with when it comes to anxiety. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to asking for help with anything. I just went with Christina to Trader Joe’s for the 1st time! It is like an upscale Aldis! It is a good thing I did not go in there HUNGRY! We ended up buying a few things no one of them I thought dad would really like and one for me. I get so worked out thinking that dad is going to get so upset because he is having to fix something different. I know he likes to not eat the same thing all the time.

What kind of ring did you get for $10? I would go ahead and ask for a replacement. What is the worst they could do say no? Praying for your anxiety!

    1. Thanks, Steph. It was just a silver band, nothing fancy. I might reorder it or wait and make sure I don’t need the money for something else. I’m not good about buying things for myself.

  4. I’ve noticed with Prime membership, they are starting to place smaller items in one package.

I’ve had to double back and look for a few of my things as well. I guess it’s to save and cut down on packaging maybe?
