Your prompt for JusJoJan January 17th, 2025 is whatever you want it to be. Have fun!

Its been a busy -albeit-dry month, full of games, hanging with our friends, exercise, binging series, early spring cleaning, and great entertainment.

That leads me to today, Friday and the next entertainer on the bill is for this evening’s enjoyment. His name is Mangrove Mark (or something like that) and is said to have a Jimmy Buffet kind of vibe. Should be fun!
I knew I could have fun without drinking but that doesn’t mean I don’t miss the occasional cocktail. I’m just thankful that Dave hasn’t taken me to eat Mexican food since we’ve been back in Florida. That would simply be torture not to have my Margarita with my chips, salsa, and queso!
Question is, can I limit myself to an occasional drink such as that? I have to say, a month of watching a select few of my friends seemingly on a mission to drink themselves to death makes me want to stay as near to completely dry as possible.
At our age, why would someone stay drunk almost 24/7?? Don’t those few people want to live, for their spouses if not for themselves? I have to wonder. I don’t really want to be around such nonsense. I never drank like that anyway. I freaked out at the fact that maybe I had a problem if I had even one cocktail nightly.
Anyhoo, I hope the guy tonight is good, and we all have fun visiting, dancing, and hopefully not freezing in the clubhouse. It sure has not been typical Florida weather this week. Rain is coming all next week along with cool, mild temps ranging in low 50’s to mid 70’s.
I’m hoping my friend Lisa will roll my hair for tonight’s festivities, because I’m tired of wearing a ball cap every day. It would be even cooler if she could braid my fine, thin hair so I’d fit in in case his music has more of a Jamaican flair, but I’m sure that would be impossible. I have baby fine hair.
The photo above is what came up when I searched Mangrove Mark. I’ll let you know if he is one and the same as who shows up on stage tonight.
We don’t always get entertainment every weekend, but in the absence of spending time with my sister Barb, I’m always happy when we do! I have not seen or heard much from her all month. Besides work, they are remodeling their kitchen, so she has been super busy. I’ll check in today and see whats happening.
Tomorrow, most of us will be either participating or watching the cornhole tournament. Last year, it seemed like the entire park was there. Where there is food and fun, the people will come! Lets pray it doesn’t get rained out!
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and a joyful, blessed weekend!
