Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 18th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “pack/peck/pick/pock/puck.” Use one or use ’em all for bonus points—it’s up to you! Enjoy!
Today we showed up to watch and participate in the corn hole tournament. Teams were picked as crowds packed in and we had fine weather for the event.
If you can call the bags “pucks” the object is to make the hole on the board. Four bags each are thrown in turns as teams strive to score 21.
As if the tourney and all that excitement wasn’t enough, scads of food, or should I compare that to pecks, were piled on the table for lunch break. Pulled pork, a myriad of salads, chips and desserts were devoured as hungry players piled in.
The table was on the porch outside the office, and I forgot to take a picture. I enjoyed the pulled pork, cabbage salad, fresh fruit, chips, and a rice crispy treat on the first go round. I went back to taste the tropical delight- some kind of coconut cake. Oh! Like being in some tropical destination.
I walked several times, so I wouldn’t be sitting/cheering/supporting my man all day. Plus I had to walk off those calories somehow! David played pretty well, but didn’t end up in the finals. I wish he had pocketed some cash, but you win some, you lose some.
Jimbo and Kimmie were the big winners and a good time, no a great time was had by all. What started as a humid, windy, cloudy day turned out sunny, windy and warm. We all drank lots of fluids and I had to change shirts in the afternoon.
I know this is sort of cheating by not really being a stream, but we had to be on the field by 9 am. So I’m writing after the fact. I have a gallery to view, of course.
Enjoy!

Kimmie was the final winner, btw!!
