SoCS – I Needed a Hand

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “hand.” Use it as a noun, use it as a verb, use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Yesterday I very much needed a hand because my back did whatever it does to cause excruciating pain. I don’t know if the tiny bones shift around, or if another disc came out of place, but I had to use ice packs then heat and stay medically relaxed and warm all day yesterday and again today, although thank God I feel much better.

If I can just stay relaxed, even while moving around, and I DO need to move even when in this state, I seem to be able to get over it or past it on my own. I also pray constantly that God will miraculously heal my back.

David is my rock. He helped me so much, encouraged me to rest in bed where he could direct the heat to keep me warm. He brought me food and medicine, which was giving me a hand physically. Mentally, he made me see that we can’t keep doing this. Sadly, he feels like the only way to deal with this is from home, so I can be near the VA and hopefully get the care I need. I’ve got to get this treated or I will fight it forever.

So, we will probably have to stay a few more days to get the mail that is coming, which includes my medication that’s out. I will keep you posted on when we leave, here or on Facebook.

One more thing. Can I ask for prayers for Stephanie’s dad, Lynn Kilgore? He has a mass in his lung and we need to pray it’s not cancerous! 🙏

Thank you in advance. The more people praying, the better the outcome for him!!

  2. By His stripes we were healed, all of us: you, Stephanie’s dad and even myself with a sprained ankle (and whomever else I might have missed). So I tell our bodies to start acting on the Word that we are healed.

    Blessings.

1 Peter 2:24 KJV – 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

  3. Thank you so much for asking for prayers my dad! I just you are right that everything helps! I did let dad read this message and it filled his heart to know that people who do not even know him are praying!

You and Dave have the right mindset for your situation. Do not look at it as a failure it is just an unplanned detour. God works ALL THINGS to the GOOD of those that love him! Romans 8:28! I pray continuously for the healing of Kim’s back! We are not ever going to give up on praying for this, but your will ultimately will be done! Amen!

Do you think it may be had anything to do with the riding in the golf cart the other day just like when you’re back hurt the time before? Again I pray that everything works out! I love you very much!
