SoCS – I’m Always Full

Good morning! The temps here in central Texas are starting to dip and I’m not happy about it. Since I’m powerless to stop it, lets tackle Linda’s SoCS prompt instead;

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “full/empty.” Use one, use ’em both, use ’em any way you’d like. Bonus points for getting them both into your post. Have fun!

SoCS by Linda G. Hill

Lately, I never feel when it’s time to eat-I never eat by the clock anyway, but it seems like I’m always full. I never know that I was hungry until I start to eat…then it’s like I’m ravenous! I wonder if that has to do with my extra weight around my middle, or the medical marijuana or what.

On occasion, I do feel a little empty because my stomach growls, but that is rare anymore. Sometimes I just make myself eat something small so I don’t go too long without eating.

On another subject, I have been having these ant-bite looking things popping up on my fingers last few days, so I stopped using the DMSO and man, do I hurt. Then again, it’s starting to get cool, so not sure which is doing what. Last night was date night and we went to eat, but I got full really fast and brought some of my food home.

Now, I have no idea if the DMSO is to blame for the ant-bite-looking sores on my fingers, but I always do the elimination of one thing at a time then adding it back in to determine what is causing a certain side effect. I put so much in my system sometimes it gets “overwhelmed” I guess. A piece of good news is that I’m officially done with the Pregabalin. I weaned off of f it under the doctor’s instructions.

I am grateful that I can still push through the pain and exhaustion to continue my walks and stretching routine. Once these little sores are gone, I’ll get back to using the DMSO and see what happens. Who knows, maybe something is really biting me, but I don’t know where it’s coming from. I’m rarely outside except for the walks-when we walk the dogs daily.

We were shopping at Ollie’s yesterday and I got a call from the Dallas VA saying I need to come and see a liver doctor too, so now I have that additional appointment, yet I can’t get three MRIs scheduled for anything! I’m going to try and get the one prior to my appointment with the neurosurgeon done asap. David has two appointments next week, so I can talk to radiology then, but I’m also calling Dallas today.

Ok, I’m done with this all over the place stream, have a fabulous weekend everyone!

  1. I can relate to the side effect piece. Over the last few years there’s been so much going on and I recently told a doctor I’ve given up trying to figure out which effect belonged to which cause, it’s just too confusing. Good luck with scheduling those MRIs. I really hope that gets sorted out for you!

    1. Thank you, Laura!
      You are so right, it’s very frustrating!
      Plus I sound like a hypochondriac complaining all the time, but I swear it’s ALWAYS something!

  2. Hope the sores go away quickly and the MRI’s are all positive.

  3. I used DMSO on a sprained ankle. It provided pain relief. I didn’t notice any problem with it. However, I did tell my foot to recover. It took it’s sweet time, but it finally did recover.

    May your body recover as well. By His (Jesus’) stripes we were healed.
