Well, I think the time has come for something new, or maybe I should throw a hissy fit or a conniption, nah, what good would that do??
Basically, like many other writers I’m reading about, the new season is bringing new changes as to where we are all submitting our work, nd it seems there’s begun a mass exodus from Medium.
Their addendum apparently wasn’t worth a hill o beans and some are saying, “I’m done with this mess.” I get it, I don’t want my writings stolen or misrepresented either. So, some have decided to move their work to their own blogs, some have gone to Twitter, some have started something new on Substack. I will have to research the terms and conditions before I go there, but it sounds like a pretty good deal. (I’m not, nor will I ever be on Twitter)
I’m also still contemplating how and where to move all my work if I do leave Medium. Save it in a file until I make up my mind? Put it on my other blog, or this one? Idk. My head is spinning with possibilities and I’ve still got a long way to go in my studies. Whatever I do, I need to do quickly, before Medium takes another 5 bucks out of my account. It’s not much, but it adds up when you have no money coming in.
What do you guys think? Any brilliant suggestions are welcome. I’m off to my volunteer job, so I’ll check back later and in the meantime, I will look into how to get off of Medium and end my account. Such a sad way to go. 😦
They shouldn’t have gotten so greedy, now they are losing a bunch of great writers. Then again, maybe the move is just the creative spark they needed to launch new projects of their own. Some of them also have to home-school their kids and need extra time for that. UGH! If that were me, I really would be throwing a conniption fit!!

Thank you for this post; someone had recommended Medium to me but now I’ll wait and see to where others relocate their work.
