You know I was born Ulotrichous
Long, thick, and luxurious
I have to now shutter that image
That dream has gone and died
Heredity struck, my curls are gone
Replaced with memories superfluous
Wigs, caps, and potions
No match for notions
And memories of braids and pigtails
At least I’m not bald yet
And my only regret
Is that I never got to model like Bernadette
