Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “resolve.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Have fun!
The Word of the day is “beginning” so have fun using that in a sentence, poem, or jot!
So there we were, having a good time last night, and my husband pops off and says something about vaping. I was so close to caving in at that point, but my resolve is strong!
When I make up my mind to do anything, like walking, or dieting, I can really stick to it for a long time. I quit smoking in 2014 and never went back, so I know I can do it!
However, I resolved to quit before the new year, and I don’t have any resolutions per se, but I do have some goals.
I want to finish my transcriptionist course, and boy am I out of practice after taking off the last 3 or 4 months!!
I want to close my circles on my iWatch as many days as possible, which means I will hopefully get in better shape. Of course, it was easy when it was warm outside, however, now that it is cold, I will have to connect to my fitness app and do some indoor workouts. That is going to take a lot of self-discipline!
Speaking of new beginnings, welcome to the new me. I finally decided to do something for myself about my hair and my insecurity about my bald spots, and I went and got this wig. My husband was kind enough to pay for it, and I think I will call someone on Monday about where to donate the other one or maybe both of them. This one fits me, my style, and my skin tone and even blends in with my own hair! It is definitely a keeper!
I am also resolving to do Just Jot it January again this year, this being my first post. I have to get back to my writing! I have been writing some in my journal, but it took a month after Dad passed for me to want to do even that!
Since the decision was already made to stop vaping, I don’t think I am going to beat myself up this year about my diet. I will clean it up a little and hope that the extra exercise will be enough to whip me into shape and help me firm up. I am enjoying food again, so maybe I just cut back on sugar and eat smaller healthier portions.
I hope you have some goals of your own, and you work on them this year. Click on the links to learn how to get involved with JusJoJan, SoCS, and WOD challenges. They will keep you plenty busy this month!
